Loft Conversions Swindon
Are you in need of extra space in your home but really don’t want to move house? Perhaps it’s time to look up. Loft conversions are becoming an increasingly popular way to add extra floor space to our homes without having to extend the beyond the property’s footprint.
We pride ourselves on being interior specialists, truly understanding how to make a space work and maximising an area to get the full benefits. This may sound expensive but we are also competitively priced, meaning that much needed extra space might be closer than you think.
Is Loft Conversion Disruptive?
Are you worried that building works will go on for weeks? Don’t worry. Once work commences on your loft, it will typically take as little as 5-6 weeks before work is approved by the local authority and you can begin furnishing your room. And you’ll be surprised at how little disruption there will be to your home while the building is in progress; most materials will actually be taken up via the scaffolding, and the stairs to your new room will be made at our joiner’s workshop, not on site. So you’ll be able to carry on as normal while your conversion is carried out.
Loft Conversion Process
Here at Bob Hammond General Builders, we offer an end-to-end building solution to converting your loft, covering everything from design to installation and decorating. One of our team will come out to meet you and carry out a home survey. They will discuss options with you and try to capture the vision you have for the space. Our designers will then turn this into practical plans and images, creating a bespoke design concept which works for the space and your requirements. This will include ensuring the work falls within Permitted Development and adheres to all legal requirements, including building regulations. If the plans do require planning permission, we can offer the advice and guidance to help you apply for it. What’s more, we work with you every step of the way and will make sure you are happy with all our plans before we start the next phase.
Once we have your approval, our craftspeople will start work on transforming your space. We only use high quality materials which are suitable and appropriate for the job. This means your finished product is not only fit for purpose from an industry standard perspective but that it also is ready for its intended use. Each member of the team who works on your home will be friendly, professional, reliable and fully trained experts in their field. They each strive to ensure every customer is happy with their work. The breadth of their knowledge also means we can cover all aspects of the work from plumbing through to lighting, so whatever you want to use the converted space for, one of our team can help. We can even complete the project with our high quality decorating service if you want to make your life a little bit easier. Everything is done in-house so we can guarantee we can deliver your project on time and on budget.
